Promotions Assistant
Person needed to serve as an ambassador for all WGKA-AM and WNIV-AM events and promotions. Individual must be enthusiastic in greeting the public, working with clients, setting up event displays and handling event required activities. Individual must be able to work weekdays, weekends, evenings and some holidays and must have reliable transportation. Must also be able to lift equipment such as speakers and boxes. Experience and interest in radio promotions and the broadcast industry is preferred. College students enrolled in the study of journalism and mass communications are encouraged to apply.

Salem Media of Georgia currently has an opening for a Community Affairs Director. The duties include:

• Responsible for the weekly production of “Community Perspective,” a thirty minute show highlighting the issues that affect our community. This show airs on all the stations in the Salem Atlanta group.

• Responsible for compiling the Quarterly Issues Report for the Public File’s of each Salem Atlanta station.

• Along with the Program Director, determine the issues that affect our community that need to be addressed.

• Responsible for the promotional effort of WNIV-AM as guided by the AM Promotions Manager.

The ideal candidate will have major market on-air experience and the ability to connect with the listeners of the Salem Media of Georgia stations. College Degree preferred.
